For the G321 task I feel I was successful in meeting the brief because it included a character opening a door, crossing a room and sitting down in a chair opposite another character where they then exchange some dialog. I also demonstrated match-on action, such as when the two characters walk through the door while the shot changes. I also made sure that the 180 degree rule was kept during filming.
I felt that my editing of the shots is what made this successful especial the audio editing. I added a lot of non-diegetic sound which I feel made the video a lot more effective. I added synchronous sound for example in the shot of the clock I added a ticking sound effect, this exaggerates the shot and the sound of a clock ticking also builds up tension. To build up further tension i synchronised footstep sound effects in the shot of the Boss walking down the hall way. By emphasising the sounds makes the audience here what they see.
I made sure that each shot had a tight frame because i didn't want to waste any space. By using a tight frame it also makes the people in the shot seem more important and helps the audience to focus on the characters. when the character gets told he has not got the job I added sad violin music and changed the tone to black and white. The video dramatically goes from positive to negative. the effects made the video emotional and dramatised to make the audience sympathise for the character. In the video the characters wore smart business like clothes which matches the story, also the way they spoke contributes to the mise-en-scene.

When watching back on the video their are a couple of parts that do need improving and could be better. I think the mise en scene could be improved, next time I would use better props to make the production look more professional and realistic. Next time I think it would be a better idea to rehearse and get the acting spot on because the acting definitely needs to be improved.

From this preliminary task i have learnt that the editing plays such a vital role in producing a film. Audio and visual effects are very important because they brought the video to life, I was surprised with how much better it made it. i learnt that its important for everyone to work as a team and that planning is also an important key, the planning needs to be clear and thorough to ensure it will go to plan. I learnt how to use the camera and how to capture different shots at different angles.

i found that many things were challenging. My role was the camera man, I found it challenging to get everything in the shot. i had to try and get every thing important in the shot while keeping a tight frame. the hardest shot to film was following the footsteps of the Boss. I had to try and keep the camera still and zoom out while the character was getting closer to capture her feet in the shot. As a whole, despite finding some parts complicated I think it was successful after editing.
